🎨 Family Pixel Studio

Draw characters, props and flora for Chambers Island β€” the palette is locked to the game's colors, so everything you make fits the game. Start from a template, recolor a part, preview it walking, and share it to the family pool.

For the full studio, open this link in Safari β€” in-app browsers can cramp the tools.

Templates β€” good bones, never a blank canvas

Templates open right in the editor. The pack sheets are big reference sheets from the Pixel Sprite Shop base pack, converted to the game palette.

Palette P β€” locked, no custom colors

Quick recolors β€” swap a whole part by shade

Works on parts tagged with the Parts painter (skin, hair, top, bottom, shoes, hat). Paint over anything by hand afterwards.

The family pool

The rule: pieces in the pool can't be edited or deleted β€” copy one to make your own version. Adding your piece always creates a new entry; originals stay untouched. Adding the exact same pixels twice is refused. When you add a new version of a piece (or a fresh sheet made from a pooled character), the older version is tucked away β€” tick "Show old versions" to see them.

Change canvas size?

Crop/pad keeps your pixels the same size, anchored at the bottom center. Scale stretches or shrinks the whole drawing to fit. Either way Undo can step back, and the old size keeps its own saved draft.
